Teachers and careers advisers are often involved in arranging and improving work experience programmes for students with the NHS.
Health Education England updated the NHS Careers guide to work experience in June 2015 to make sure it reflects current practice.
This guide provides information and resources to help you find work experience opportunities within the health service. Work experience is organised differently within individual trusts and other healthcare providers so it will not provide all the answers. It will help you understand what is on offer within the health sector, how to start to find placements for your students and the rules and requirements healthcare providers are working under.
It is also interactive and designed to be read on screen. You can read it from start to finish or click the information you need. It can also be printed.
