Salary and benefits

The current starting pay for a trainee healthcare scientist is around £25,528 per annum. For trainees in London, this is augmented by a location allowance.

Trainees will be entitled to 27 days of paid annual leave, in addition to the statutory public holidays.

Travel and subsistence costs, for both work placements and attendance at courses, are at the discretion of the employer.

If you are following the Training Programme as an In-Service Trainee, your terms and conditions of employment remain the responsibility of your current employer.
